Straight to the Point!

Often times as adult, we find it difficult to communicate our heart desires to God or other human beings. We go round in circles without saying what we real want. Read this little story of a 5year old boy and tell me what you think.

Little Tommy: "Dad, I want a bicycle."

Father: "Why do you want it?"

Little Tommy: "Just because I want it."

Father: "That's no answer to my question."

Little Tommy: "That's no question to my answer."

Father: "You want it just because you want it?"

Little Tommy: "Just because I want it."

Father: "No explanations, no doubts, no questions?"

Little Tommy: "None. I want it because I want it."

Father: "I can't think of a better reason. Let's go get that bicycle."

How many of us can be so clear, unambigous and resolute in our request. When next you have a desire and you want to tell God about it. Be as simple as a 5year old. Your twisting of words or pretense doesn't help in prayer.
A fool has said in his heart, there is no God! I refuse to be a fool ;)
